My favourite Galaxy image so far

I was looking back through all my old images and one kept jumping out at me as my favourite Galaxy image.

Even though I am trying to learn how to image with the DSI-c, this image I captured of NGC253 was taken with the trusty old Modified Toucam.

I am quite proud of this image so I apologise if I have already posted it before.

Yep, Baz. The good old 'now partially incapacitated' Modified Toucam!

Saxon ED80, 0.6x FR, Astronomiks IR/UV filter, Modified Toucam 840k Pro II, captured in 'Desire', Autoguided with unmodified Toucam 840k Pro II & Guidemaster, I forget how many images and exposure times, stacked in Reggie 3, Processed in PhotoShop CS.

Mate, most of the time now I really don't keep track of exposure times unless I am going to publish a picture.......I suppose I should, but I get so tired in there I just want to take the pics, process and get out. Who has time with a day job? Maybe its easier when you are on holidays and can sleep by day...

Keep up the great work Ken. Your U-Tube videos are fantastic too!

Baz.

It is a good one Ken, and the funny thing about it is that out of all the images i have taken, the one of the same object as yours, is the one that my dear wife Alice likes the best.

It is pretty ordinary, but it must have some appeal to her, it certainly is different than the normal star fields

A very nice image Ken. Everything came together nicely on that night by the looks of it.

It's images like that that make you come back for more.

Cheers

Thanks everyone. Makes it all worth it when images come out nice.

We have beautiful sky so far this afternoon, so tonight I'm hitting the skies with the DSI-c again to see if I can sort it out and try get images like the one above with it.

It's a bonza shot Ken.

Do people still say "bonza"? Sometimes I feel I got left behind in the '70's.
