New Tarantula and Lagoon images with modded 300D

Finally the camera I bought on astromart two weeks ago arrived last Wednesday and I could not miss the opportunity to test it.

Below are two images that were taken with this modded 300D through ED80(prime focus) guided with C8 SCT. Both DSOs were taken at ISO800, with 2 dark frames and 8-9 light frames, 240sec.

Definitely they are required more processing but at this point I did everything I am capable of :-)
If anyone want to stack and re-process them to get a better result just let me know. I can put their light and dark frames somewhere on the Internet so you can download and play with them.

Hi.
Yes one can see the xtra reds that the modded camera picks up.
Id like to have a go at the processing, so feel free to put up the original images online and I will have a go at processing them with Iris
cheers
Scott

Hi Scott,

I uploaded zipped file for Lagoon nebula to my server and you can download it from here . The file size is 33Mb and inside are 10 light and 2 dark frames. Unfortunately all frames are in jpg format. It was the first time when I used this camera and somehow I did not set it to raw format properly.

cheers,

Michael
