NGC246, that ugly planetary nebula
Hi Guys,
Took this 3 days ago of NGC246. Its that blue brain/skull looking thing. To the left of the image, there is also a faint neb.

Lovely detail, pehaps could've had some better framing/composition, but another lovely result from the stable of Eric.

Eric
I find PN's to be difficult targets esp in terms of focus (unforgiving) - yours seems to be spot on with great detail. Really nice image

Ahhhh, yep, that's the Blue Brain/Skull Thingy Planetary Nebula.
Nicely captured, Eric.

Ken i saw it at Snake valley 2 years ago. It's large in size and faint in the 10" scope. The argo said it was there but i couldn't see it looking straight at it until I gave the scope a bump and then it popped out and I could see it plainly.
Another great pic Eric and I don't agree that its ugly!
