Smile Dovetail rail for Celestron NexStar 4 - SOLD

I have a dovetail rail (Vixen, EQ-5, etc.) for a Celestron NexStar 4 for sale. This rail fits directly on a NexStar 4 OTA (silver coloured OTA) once it has been unscrewed from the mount. There is no need to drill extra holes. The rail comes with the matching stainless steel screws. The rail enables you to use your NexStar 4 on many EQ mounts but also on the Vixen Porta mount.

I am selling it for $35 + postage from Newcastle.

Thanks,

Stephan

Stephan it probably makes sense I buy this off you given I bought the original OTA from you with rings - I'm waiting all the saddles to attach everything to even try the 4" OTA out still!

The rings look fine - but with the wierd base it has the rings aren't in the right spot balance wise so it probably needs a dovetail - does the one you recommend hold it securely? It seems the unusual molded rear bracket for the 4" MAK attached to the mount by a unsual tongue and groove arrangement- which I was considering hack sawing off!

It has three screw holes and you dovetail only seems to have two - so did it hold it very securely for you - or was there slight wobble when you focused the OTA?

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt,

The dovetail rail holds the tube very secure, no wobbling or anything.

How about if you don't like it you can send it back and I give you a refund. So worst case scenario you just have to pay the postage which shouldn't be very much as it can be send in a padded envelop.

Yep, payment received and I posted the rail 2 days ago, so you probably receive it today, if not then tomorrow.
