Mizar brand scope on Ebay

Hi,
noticed this on Ebay, does anyone know anything about this brand of scope?
Googling Mizar turns up that they are a japanese company making a range of optical equipment. A question on the scope adds it's a "83" mm lens + the scope is 295mm long..
Could make a reasonable finder It looks to be pretty solid construction..

I don't know the brand but I would be very dubious as to why they used pipe thread tape on the adapter. Kinda looks dodgy to me
