Well on close inspection it turms out the spring loaded hinge mechanism that pushes the worm into the gear was not returning to engaged position after me pushing it out of engaged, I should imagine a similar situation would occur after a stop from slew, maybe not as dramatic but present to a lesser degree, I suspect that this has been half the cause of my woes since I bought this machine , with its unpredictable guiding and eronious PECS. just only recently has it become sufficiently annoying for me to do something about it.. Now If I had only have known that you do not have to de-pier it to make this adjustment...the adjustment screw is redilly available behind the swith panel,,,

. So while its in bits I might as well clean up and regrease, any other things I should maybe check while Im in there fellow LX200 owners...
