Naming links in your signature

I was trying to put a link in my signature. But it doesn't allow you to name it
apart from just the internet path to the link, which isn't very descriptive.

Is there another way to do this seems html is turned off

So use {url=xxx}blah{/url}

But replace the {} with [ and ].

Something like that?
But you have to take the spaces out from [ url and url ]
