first image in ages - Lagoon

after struggling for 7 months to get my an eq-6 version 3 that worked well enough for imaging (and having 3 new mounts under warranty each - unsatisfactory) here is my first "real" (as opposed to "test" image.

Lagoon Nebula:

total of 2 hours and 25 minutes exposure (varying 4, 4 an 5 minute subs)

bias and dark subtracted, no flats - using Iris.

EQ-6 mount using EQmod, ED-80, Canon 350d, autoguided by 500mmfl 70mm refractor and Qguide.

Preliminary processing by me, final tart up by Maurice Valimberti.

cheers
Gary

Good to see that you have been able to get the mount sorted to where you can produce good images like this one.

I like the subtle change of colour from pink to greenish in the centre, where oxygen emission seems stronger. Well done
