Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers here and every where on this wonderful planet.

It is a day named so by humans but a day that personally I celebrate every day of my life.

When ever the question "what is the meaning of life" presents to you in a moment of desire to determine any purpose think about the role of being a father.

For me being a good father is everything... all the crap you all think occupies my mind I can truthfuly say that it is only something to play with whilst I await the call of being a father to any of my children.

I prefer being a father 24 hours of the day but always respect my childrens desire for their independance and for them to follow their dreams.

It is for them that I try to be a good man with fair and decent morals.

It is for them that I win when I go for it. It is for them that when I lose I do so and demonstarte a resolution to win next time without letting the loss discourage me.

It is for them I live.

So happy Father's Day best wishes for the day.

alex

Well nothing beats sliding down the grass hills around here on a large cardboard sheet with my daughter.. we both had a fantastic day together.

I made her a make believe dog sled from a "push" trolley ...the one I crashed on the decent to the river (another story from another time).. well its a real sled just no husky dogs...I am the make believe dog..er my name is.. er its better I dont tell you actually.

AND the sky is clear here as so maybe a little looky looky with the binos after a special fathers day dinner... very happy fellow I am I am

Thanks Alex, happy Father's day to you and all others.

My young 'un (she's also my chief sky watching partner) got me an astronomy book at the flea market, "Astronomy" by Donald H. Menzel. Some what dated but I am thrilled none the less. Lots of great pictures and timeless data for a budding, albeit old, amateur astronomer.

Life is good...

My daughter rang to wish me a happy fathers day for the first time in thirty five years. She did not know who I was until recently.

Yes the idea is tokenistic, but it pushs people into the correct direction.

If we all thought about our fellow humans a bit of the time, we would all be better off.

So any bets here?
You would lose..it a clock.

Ric you have arrived how I wish for similar.

Bert I find a certain peace I will apply to other things in your observation...tokenistict mmm so many things are yet they keep so many lined up the right way... see the good in everything.

I am very happy to hear of your joy you are a very lucky man ...

I await a similar call from my oldest no as long placed but unfortunate rift it seems .. but reading all this today I am resolved to be the first to call.
best wishes
alex

I had a lovely day yesterday. Kids smothered me with cuddles and kisses, a sleep in, presents in bed, bacon and eggs for brekkie, a trip to the australian museum and playing in the backyard in the afternoon.

I love fathers day!

Sorry I'm late on this one

I had a great weekend with my two boys pressies an all on Sunday. but I
also spared a thought for all the fathers out there who dont get to spend
time with their children, via a corrupt FC.
