Yes, Andrew, spectacular indeed. I had similar experience at my location at Hall (Canberra). At totality I could see a bright Milky Way sweeping across the sky from the treetops in the north to the treetops in the south. A bit special. I was tempted for a second to switch from planetary to Deep Sky. This is how the moon should always be. Great pics, and congrats on the Spaceweather!
Are you going to animate the 10 images on the collage? That would be special.
I'm having a go at the moment with some of mine, but the timing of my shots is right out because of clouds etc.
My favourite is the middle one. I really enjoyed a wide angle view through my telescope with the moon surrounded by faint stars, some of which were occulted during the evening.
Wow Andrew that is nice, we were a bit unlucky down here, but i managed to get a couple in right after totality, will post a bit later.
And i have look through the others as well, and what a great effort by all.
love your images, I enjoyed the event but equally I was happy to see so many people who never look up, so to speak, outside their houses, watching the event..so many people asked for details -when it was best to observe and that sort of stuff-during the day and for the first time in a long while an astronomical event was a watercooler topic
