I can't read any Astro mag without seeing Iceman's images!

Iceman does it again...just got my US edition of Sky and Telescope...Mike has a picture of Jupiter and also Mars!

Can this man be stopped?

Congratulations on another fine set of images!

Thanks for spreading the news of Mike’s planetary imaging fame and fortune Scott, and congrats Mike - you've earned that fame and hopefully, the fortune will soon follow...

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback guys. It was certainly a surprise to me as well, I didn't know they were planning to use them - first I heard was when I got an email from one of their editors asking for my paypal address!

Apparently they're using another Jupiter of mine in the October issue (for the GRS transit times).

I was expecting to receive a couple of sample issues but they haven't arrived yet

Thanks.
The US and UK mags do pay you for images.. not a lot, between $15 and $50 per image, for a small image. It depends on the size they use (how much of the page it takes up).

A full page image (or cover image) is where the big bucks are

I believe AS&T give a 6-month subscription to published images.

Hi Andrew,

Yes, we do offer the gift 6 month subscription for images. I introduced it with the Jul/Aug issue, and it's in the current Sep/Oct issue too (page 90). Also mentioned here:
