Does anyone have a swag. I am looking at getting one for my weekends away here and their. but don't know any of the quality brands. Anyone know any good brands. I don't want to have to upgrade later on.

Cheers

Hi ,I use the Ultimate Range General Swag available from BCF stores in QLD.
Did a lot of research on em and found this one to my liking due to it's heavy canvas and floor and either both sides or end entry.
Takes about a minute to set up (with the optional 2 pole kit) if you can't find a couple of tie off points.
Nice and airy when it's hot.50mm foam matress and midgy prooof screens and side flaps for dirty shoe removal when entering.
I have the king size which give room for 2 if need be.
Some swags only allow end entry and this can be a pain in the butt

Have a good look around Ian. There are swags of all sorts of sizes and configuration. There will be one or more that will meet your needs. I use a really basic double swag (Panorama Jordan Creek). I took the view that I would nearly always be using it either in doors or in a tent, so I wasn't interested so much in it as a stand alone shelter. Its horses for courses, so decide what you really need. If you just want a basic comfy swag, no frills, no mozzie proofing, and low price I can recommend it! But if you want to use your swag instead of a tent - I'd suggest something else!

As Al said, it's horses for courses.

If you want a stand alone swag you can't go far past these, cc swags. I have one and they are about the best you'll buy.

Thanks I'll give them a look over

I will tend to be using it sort of all year round away fishing trips and also wekends away down at the beach summer and winter. Also for dark site locations doing astro. I am looking for something that will last and keep out all the critters that i don't want in. Also something that I don't need to upgrade later on.

I have the deluxe. It would be approx 12 years old and looks none the worse for wear and it's had a tough life.
As I said they are about the best you'll buy and fit all the needs you specify but one thing they aren't and that is cheap.
