seeing the sky from bed

who can see a piece of the sky through the windows falling asleep in its bed?

I see the roof of an adjoining building, a big nut tree,
and between them so much sky that I have the complete constellation Auriga in the visual gaze ( now at about 3 o'clock a.m.)
this night by that view I had the idea for this poll………

I do not see any sky

I see only skies by the windows

I see only few stars

I voted 'I do not see any sky' because my curtains are shut at night. Even if they were open I wouldn't see the sky because of the verandah.

You didn't give anyone the option of 'I can see lots of sky from bed'

I would have voted for other.

I can't see the stars directly, because the the ceiling is being used for a starship battle. I have got 25+ star trek, stars wars, battlestar galatica, aliens spaceships hanging from the ceiling fighting each other.

When I get bored, i turn off the lights and unleash the green laser.

There is also 5 more models in space dock, waiting to join the battle

Also

As the obersvatory is controlled from the bed(room), I can see anything that I want to. The images just appear on the computer screen.

Not only stars, but at right time of lunar cycle and when cloud free - I see the Moon! We have to move house in the next few years - I'm already planning the master bedroom layout for a good view to the east from bed!

I have a view from about 15 deg to 75 deg up and about 50-60 degree long. When the moon is near full either side we have to shut the curtains it is so bright. Lots and lots of stars too

I have a reasonable view to the north and see some stars as they pass. No curtains to cut the view but some trees.

No stars unless looking out the window, even then I can't see anything besides Jupiter

I couldn't stand a bedroom with an open ceiling. I've always been afraid of aliens

I see from the North West to South West through my large window I only have lace curtains.
I woke up early one morning in 1994 to see Comet hyukataki,(Spelling) filling my view
The Moon is so bright some nights that I have to put my head under the covers to get some sleep.

Many years (42) ago, it was a matter of seeing all the night sky.......lived in a tent for 2 years in the East Kimberley.
Now it is a matter of seeing a section of the NE.
Last year, when I was ill in hospital, I saw this particular star that sparkled. I was amazed at the way it looked and, determined to find out, got involved with the "bug".......Oh, the star......Capella, The She-Goat. Blame it on her!!

Wrong angles for me, I can't see anything unless I actually get up and look out the window. I don't mind the glow of the full moon though.

Cheers

is it unfair, Ric.

a friend of mine lives in a studio dwelling, if he places his bed beside the window
(and lies on the correct side and it is clear weather )
nearly only the stars are in the field of his vision.

Fantastically - however he don’t interested in the stars .

Geez Brendan, how can you sleep with a life size face hugger hanging over you that would scare the willy's out of me if I woke up and saw that in the middle of the night.

I voted for no sky... I keep the curtains shut since the street lights are so bright... and the bed room is at ground level in town.

Maybe when we move out of town!

Al.
