Triffid - first time guided

Managed last night to take my first guided shot.

Triffid nebula - 40 x 30 seconds ISO 400 using unmodded 350D through ED80 (thanks again Leon) mounted on LXD75 mount. Used a UHC filter due to the light pollution. Guided with PHD using a DSI and a Stellarvue 60M finderscope.

I am sure I need about another 2 hours worth of data and a dark location - I'm only 7km from the Sydney CBD here.

My processing leaves a lot to be desired. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Pete

Thanks Nick. It wasn't apparent in my viewfinder but I knew it was about there somewhere. This time I was lucky

Thanks Dan

Its an Astronomik - picked it up at Bintel as the light pollution around here is pretty ferocious. Even at New Moon I can almost read by the streetlights.

hi Pete,

congrats on your first guided image!
obviously all worked beustifully!
there is also a bit of the lagoon in the image.
since aou are planning to go back to collect mor data, perhaps you might wanna frame it so that both find place in the image.
