Anyone trial MaxPoint - what do you think?

I see MaxPoint can act as a low level ASCOM hub for scopes and model the sky and your rigs pointing ability to assess pointing error and improve goto accuracy (its claims).

Anyone use it and have comment on its ability and value? At US $150 for a specific purpose bit of kit it isn't cheap (is there any freeware version around) but does it pay its way?

Comments anyone?

I read about this in a post by Jase recently, so I'm sure he'll have something to say (if I remember right and it was him).

It would be interesting to hear from others also.

Jase's comment got me thinking about it. I have often considered TPoint (I use TheSKy & CCDSoft) but to be honest from the outside I prefer the look and the price of MaxPoint.
