Jupiter - 7th August

Hi all

Another evening of potentially good seeing, but beaten by local winds and tube currents/boundary layer due to the fast dropping temperature. Next season - I need active cooling!

Thanks for looking.

Still a good image Mike - not too long now and Saturn will be back in the morning sky :-)

cheers, Bird

I'm so envious, it never ceases to amaze me of the quality of these planetary images.

Active cooling would be awesome Mike.

Thanks guys. I'll definitely take more steps to control the cooling before next apparition. I know DP is working on something for me, but he's been very busy with work.

I'm looking forward to having Saturn back in the morning, hopefully a bit higher than it was last apparition. I'm also planning to spend some time to get some Venus and Mercury images later this year when they're a morning object.
