Jupiter, Sunday evening 5th August

Hi all

These images were taken a bit over an hour apart, on Sunday evening. Jupiter was up nice and high but the seeing and fast-dropping temperatures were not suitable to reveal any fine detail.

With large trees blocking my West view, unfortunately I can't image Jupiter once it passes Zenith, so my Jupiter season is almost over. It's been a nice 6 months to-date.

It was my brothers birthday on this day, and he was out visiting from Thailand. It was nice to see him but I wished he'd brought some of that steady tropical air with him

Thanks for looking.

I'm still amazed at how fast this planet spins. An hour makes such a big difference.
Sorry to hear that we won't be getting many more Joops out of you Mike.
Thanks for taking the time to post them.
