Jupiter from Murrumbateman, July 24

Last night was another night of great seeing - this current weather system has been very kind to me.

Here's the best image from that session, and maybe my best image so far...

Scope: http://www.acquerra.com.au/astro/lexx.html

capture: 60 seconds in each of R,G,B @ 43fps

regards, Bird

Another ripper, Anthony. Incredible work.

We had fairly good seeing last night too but clouds ruined it, and once the clouds passed, Jupiter had passed the point of no return for me.

Hi Anthony

Another masterpiece from the Bird Production Line. It’s fantastic that you can crank the handle and churn out these mind blowing Jupiter’s almost to order now.

I know that you have done an amazing amount of work behind the scenes, in optimising your ‘scope, systems, writing software, processing, etc. and I am cognisant of this every time you post one of these superlative images.

Thanks for sharing your work, it is inspiring.

Cheers

Dennis

Lovely work Anthony. Care to send some nice seeing back this way? No matter how cool the mirror is, you have to have the seeing in the end. Looking forward to visiting your place next year. I think I better bring a few hard drives with me.

Yes, I really don't know what to make of this sudden burst of superb seeing that's going on... you're welcome to come up and stay for a while if you like - we have plenty of room for humans+scopes :-)

But it looks like the good weather is passing, and rain is coming, at least for the next few days.

I'm hopeful that this good seeing will continue (when a high pressure system is around) for a few more weeks to come...

cheers, Bird

Hell mate, that is very tempting. I would kill for some good seeing. Taking this under consideration.
