scope wont focus, any suggestions

Hi Guys,

Could some kind person please come up with a suggestion for focusing my Williams Optics 80mm FD Refractor

With the Diagonal and 2" extender it works fine, but if i want to focus straight through there just isn't enough length in the focuser, even with the extension attached, would i need to get an even longer extension, do you think.

Thanks Leon

Leon, just unscrew the lens of a 2" GS Barlow and use that as an extension tube

Leon

Bintel sell a 3" Televue extender that I have successfully used for my WO 80mm EDII for my DSLR, although I think that it still may not be long enough for straight through viewing?

Cheers

Have you tried asking WO? They are usually very helpful.

Leon,

Do what I do - go to BinTel and get the 3" extender - worked for my Meg 80 SD

I lent my 2" 2x Barlow to Leon to see if it fixes his problem. By unscrewing the lens it becomes a 2-5" extender. Hopefully it will fix his problem.

He can move it in and out and see how much extension it needs.
