Phillips Toucam and vista any solutions?

Has anyone come up with a solution to the toucam and vista problem yet? I have just bought a new laptop and would like to use it, otherwise I might aswell sell it and get something that works...

Good luck getting anything astro related working on vista Andrew (Still haven't gotten over it ) DYAF and reinstall XP

On a more practical note. Try the compatibility wizard in Control Panel. We had some success with that with a few programs. You never know it just might work.

The thing is the drivers never loaded with the 840K because it comes up with a missing string error when it goes to load it.

I am wondering if anyone has had the 900NC working under vista.

I haven't tried the spc900 with Vista but Philips does have Vista drivers for download for the spc900.

Hoperfully I can keep things on a positive note .

Paul, have you got the DMK software &/or registax to run on Vista? ???

I see Microsoft are themselves trying to fix program specific problems. I have AVG for my antiVirus and it has a problem on Vista. It will not startup when Vista starts. After I updated, using Windows Update, AVG runs fine, ie always statups.

So let Microsoft know about the Toucam, although they probably already do know by now, hopefully intending to fix it.

I haven't had any issues, except AVG. I've had Vista for 2 weeks now and loaded about 10 programmes (no astro stuff) on it - no probs, inc a 4yo combat jet sim.

That's good. Quite encouraging.

I didn't actually want Vista but the laptop came with 2G of RAM.

Now XP is starting to look a bit boring.

So was it just update the drivers with the 900nc's or just a patch?
