Error Message when loading IIS from desktop shortcut

I wasn't sure whether this belongs here or in the website feedback section, so if it's not right, and it's important feel free to move it.

For a little while now I have had the attached error message flash up when I try to load IIS from my desktop shortcut. Firefox goes ahead and finds the site OK, so it's not a biggie... just annoying.

It hasn't always done this, it's only started doing this in the last 2 weeks or so... I don't think anything has been changed in the web address...

Any ideas?

Al.

PS. BTW Firefox finds the site no probs without the shortcut.

Can you change the target in the icon properties to http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum and see if that makes a difference?

Don't mind me I'm just keeping you active until Terry turns up with the proper answer, though I'd be interested to see if it works

Yes, I can. ... and I did. The same (OK, very similar...) error message comes up...

Al.

PS. I don't think it's a website problem given that test, but I don't know what's changed....

Sorry, John. No different.

I'm sure now that it's a windows/Firefox issue though. All other web page shortcuts do the same.

I suspect something has changed in one of the fire fox updates... hopefully if I wait long enough it will fix itself as well...

I recall there was a recent upgrade to v2.0.0.4 that could have caused the problem.

Some info here (w2000 and XP), and scary stuff with the registry for Vista

Thanks Mate!

PS Yes, I'm glad I'm not running Vista too (though I have in the past had to hack registry entries to kill virus infections!)
