What a week!!!!

Hi all,
It's funny the curved balls life can throw you!
Last Sunday I woke up with rough guts - dodgy Chicken for Saturday tea I thought. Grumblings persisted through to Tuesday afternoon when on the freeway home from work I was hit by full on appendicitis pain...aargh!!!!
Drove straight to nearest hospital (Mt Barker in Adelaide Hills) where I was assessed/confirmed then ambulanced straight back down the hill to the RAH for surgery.
Been there since Tuesday night. Surgery on Wed morning, out home by Friday evening! Now I'm on the road to recovery - wife's a registered nurse so that's a plus. She's offered to take my stitches out...payback for being an astronomy widow!!
It's a queer old life!
One consolation there was a Televue 4x Powermate waiting for me when I got home
Cheers and don't always blame the chicken!
Doug

So why aren't you outside observing tonight, Doug? Your back home!

Gee mate, just as well they got you to Hospital on time.
Those things can get nasty

Glad to hear you are OK now.

Now be nice and the stitch removal won't hurt
