Tele setup and Jupiter No2

The Tele computer set up for the Toucam recording as promised.
The pic of Jupiter taken last night 6th July 07. The first clear evening after days of rain and cloud cover. Even so conditions were not good and until one gets perfect atmospherics one will not improve the image.
May be a knowledgeable member of IIS can provide the answer to this:
eg, I took 18 recordings with the Toucam coupled to a 2x Barlow with the Jupiter image in focus and traveling parallel through the centre of the computer screen. This provides about 200 frames. Using Regisrax default method and enclosing the whole image with the alignment frame, I find I can only process 35 to 40 frames. Any more and I get a double or triple image.
My reasoning for this is: the raw image has insuffient contrast and lacks a positive point that the system can lock onto.
The attached image has a little more detail compared to the first image presented, but has a long way to go to show the detail one expects to see for Jupiter. Your opinion would be appreciated.

It works fine Frank, it's just no bigger than thumbnail size so there's nothing to click on

Nice setup Dennis, it looks really great. The Jupiter image is about what you'd expect in terrible seeing, and I think that has been your limiting factor. The jetstream has been blasting over australia for the last week and is going to wash out the fine details.

The colour looks good!

Keep practising - when the seeing is good it will all come together!

Dennis when i think how bad the jet stream has been over the last week and half and seeing what you have produced with these conditions.

I really look forward to seeing what you produce with great seeing.

Cheers
Ian
