How Do I....?

How do I tell which galaxy is which, please? I have a 10" Skywatcher dob and just point it in the general direction. Musta seen about 6 of these, but which ones??? I couldn't find any labels on them

Hmmm, they should have NGC numbers written next to them just like in your attachment

That's funny....in my 'scope they do have labels? Which eyepiece were you using?

Gday,
All i do is find a bright star nearby that i can identify and then try to work my way to the object. Mind you i only do that when i can be bothered,LOL.

Ken has this very special scope.
It automagically puts ngc numbers everywhere

Is that what it is! I thought the numbers where actually out there in space.

I thought they were a bit clear on nights of bad seeing

Ken i need to have a talk with you when i get to tha valley of tha snakes.
It is regarding those ngc stickers that are stuck on the front of your scope lol.

You guys... sucked in. Ken doesn't really have stickers on the front of his scope with labels, that would be impossible! He has a Newtonian, there IS nothing on the front...duh. You can only do this with a Schmidt Cass or Mak

By a process of elimination, I have discovered that one of the galaxies is NGC....er......84, or 86.....I think.

It's OK Bob, they come printed in reverse and upside down
