Microsoft Word - Help!

OK, this isn't a biggie, but it's annoying...I can't restore the "ribbon" bar (with all the menu icons) at the top of Word.

Apparently, there should be a little symbol that looks like an upward pointing arrow I can click when the ribbon is minimised to restore it, but it isn't there. See the attached screenshot and you'll see where it should be but isn't.

I went to one of those online help forums, got a file to download that, when placed in the Word Startup folder, should have fixed this. It didn't. I've tried adjusting the settings of the program with no success.

I'm running a Windows PC with Win 10 & 64Gb of RAM. Word is the "Home and Student 2021" edition, registered.

Anyone got any ideas?

As Trevor mentioned issues with word are generally better fixed with full re-installation, just back any important files up.
I used to know this stuff but haven't used Word for a lot of years, probably not since getting my cert 3 in IT back in 2008.

Ctrl f1 toggles the ribbon....

I'd delete that dodgy file btw and run a virus scan if I were you...

Thanks folks!
I've done a full reinstall - painful - and the issue appears to have been solved. Thanks for all the advice.
Sharkbite - I ran a full scan on the file before I did anything with it. I have a pretty good antivirus running in the background full time.
