Milky Way 50mm Ha Widefield

Hi all,

Just bought a 2nd hand Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens, and had a chance to do a quick test of its abilities yesterday - a chilly clear Hahndorf, SA night.

Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens @ f4
ASI2600MM
Chroma 3nm Ha filter
5x1000s integration (1hr 23mins)

Think it might have potential!

Nice job Doug, as always well done.
I happen to have one of those Lenses and am very happy with it.

Thanks Josh - I was a bit worried when I put the lens on the 2600MM wide open @ f1.4 - stars looked horrendous, but stopped down to f4 all was well in the world again! Will try and work my way back to find a sweet spot, but f4 looks good with a little help from the ubiquitous BXT (which incidentally is my new Rap name LOL)

Cheers leon - was eyeing up your Sigma 40mm you had for sale recently, but I snoozed and I lost!

You did Doug, it went to New Zealand mate, as did the 105mm, and not the same person I might add.
