I was wondering if anyone has this mount with the motors/ Gemini 2?
I got the mount when they were not offering the Gemini 2, but I wonder if it's worth getting the retro kit. I mainly use it for terrestrial and solar observing.
Hey Kenny if you are only observing and doing terrestrial stuff I really cant see why the Gemini 2 would be of much advantage, unless of coarse you might progress to other types of Astro stuff, later up the track

Yes mainly for visual, but it's for the motors to have auto tracking and slewing rather then do it by the tiny control knobs that are standard. They offer the mount, which is a G8 on its side with the Gemini 2. The Gemini 1 won't work on it.
