The Aquarid Meteor "Shower" was supposed to peak on the 6th so I dragged myself out of bed at 4:00am and spent a pleasant and checked that the sky was clear hour or so outside watching the sky. Managed to spy 4 meteors in that time, not as many as I would have expected but probably missed a few by looking the wrong way. Did see one bright one that started about Delphinus and streaked through northern Aquila at about magnitude -2, made the exercise worthwhile. Gave up as the sky was starting to brighten in the east and went back to bed. Hope I'm still around for the Leonids in 2033, when their next storm is predicted.
