AA-mini Power supply questions

Hi all,

I'm in the process of refining my astrophotography setup and would appreciate some insights regarding power distribution.
My previous configuration consisted of:

1. AA-Mini, powered via a 12V 5A supply
2. AA-Mini supplying power to the ZWO 585MC Pro and ZWO 120MM
3. Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi, powered separately

I recently acquired an AM5N and plan to replace the SW SA GTi with it. I’m considering powering the AA-Mini via the saddle, which in turn would supply the ZWO 585MC Pro and ZWO 120MM. Additionally, I own a ZWO EAF, which I hope to incorporate in the future, though my current scope presents challenges in mounting it. While I currently use a manual filter drawer, I may upgrade to a motorized filter wheel down the line.

This configuration would eliminate one cable, potentially reducing the risk of snags. However, I’m concerned about the power limits of the AA-Mini. The specifications state that the 12V ports are rated at 3A—does this apply per port, or is it a combined total? In other words, is the maximum input draw 4 × 3A = 12A, or is the total power limit lower at 3A?

Is anyone running a similar setup? I’d love to hear your experiences and any recommendations for ensuring reliable power distribution.

Thanks in advance!
