Revisiting an old image

Cobbers,

Wet miserable day today so I spent most of it on line. I was checking some of my old threads on this fine forum and I found an abomination of an image.

posted september last year this image was scanned from a poorly treated 11x14 print. A few weeks ago I rescanned the image on a better scanner at TAFE and gave it the full Photoshop treatment. The photo was originally taken in 1993 and from memory it was a right pain in the arse to Print (old school) so I hope this effort looks OK

I used to take brother number seven up in a Bellanca aerobatic aircraft in the late seventies. He joined the airforce at 18. Ended up a fighter combat instructor in Mirages. Now he drives a Qantas bus and is a Check Captain. If you want pics just ask.

Glad you like the image guys. A favorite trick of mine is to put a semi transparent (about 60% opacity) layer of a gradient over the sky portion of the image. It cleans it up beautifully.
