We have a classic object for this posting with the well visited and imaged NGC300 located in the constellation of sculptor. My TSA120 OTA and ASI2600 camera is not exactly a galaxy rig with its 2d x 1d FOV but that doesn't stop me going for the larger targets like this one. I pushed the exposure times out to 26 hours + with a view to getting as much signal as possible. I think it turned out ok (changed my mind, better than ok - it is a great image ).
"Okay' is a rather self deprecating remark in my view! I think this is one of the best NGC300 images out there - especially for such a modest aperture.

(Maybe you should try a barlow on that rig, haha)

I have pondered the barlow concept. The only thing stopping me is that I don't want to muck with my image train. I will stick with the larger objects for now.
Fantastic image Rodney. Just wonderful depth and detail and the colours are beautiful. I think you’ve gone as deep as I got with my c14 (and similar integration) which is just mind blowing for that aperture. Congratulations!!
Love the galaxy field around NGC300, especially this distant blighter, which I have noticed before near NGC300. Be good to hit it with some serious aperture and FL, in sub arc sec seeing...or Hubble

Thanks David and Mike. Yes, there are lots of small background galaxies to wander around in and I'm quite please with how well I've picked them up in my image as well.

He he, no, I was thinking more like a 4m class 12500mm FL telescope ...hmmm?....A Powerball win could probably place a 1 - 1.5m class CDK/RC at Eagleview though ....that'd be good

Super image of this galaxy with your humble mid range kit.
You’ve really defined the arms and core as it’s generally a “fuzzy type” of Galaxy with not well defined structures like NGC253 and M83.
Colour is top notch and the background is littered with fairly well resolved tiny galaxies.
One of the best I’ve seen in years , beautifully processed.
