ngc 2018 SHO/HOO image blend script

Happy New Year to you all...first image for 2025

Continuing my astrophotographic tour of the colourful fireworks within the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy.

This one, NGC 2018, is a supernova remnant associated with a star cluster, located in the constellation Mensa some 158,200 light years from Earth.

Experimenting with Adam Block's Pixinsight Image Blend script in this image.
Processed SHO and HOO both with RGB stars to completion then used Image Blend with SHO as first image combined with 30% HOO in the 2nd image slot.
Finished off with a tweak in PS.

A total of around 18hrs 43 mins imaging time.

Bigger Version...

Cheers for peeping!
