Two Major Planetary Night Sky Events In January 2025

Hello There

First will be Venus and Saturn coming close to kissing. Soon afterwards in the same month there will be a parade of planets in the night sky. I hope my friends in Australia are positioned to observe both events.

That should be fun, I will definitely get the widefield frac or binos out for the conjunction (I think on 17/1). Jupiter will be close to the meridian and mars just past opposition (16/1) so should be good at least until moonrise.
