Another weird one (3/8 camera mount screws with allen key tightning capabilities
I have to modify a few quick release plates to take a 3/8x16 (tpi) camera mount screw system. I have purchased units with the locking ring (half moon lever thingie) but have several 1/4 mount bolts with the hex head design where I can put an Allen key in and lock them up tight for extra security.
Now I'm trying to find the same things with the 3/8 thread to mount an Astro Trac because I need it from gear head (attached directly to 3/8 Manfrotto 055 tripod (aluminium)) to 3/8" to the Astro-trac from another ball head but I want to get rid of the 1/4 screws with 1/4 to 3/8 sleeve adapters because they tend to loosen and be hard to remove if I need the quick release plate for other things, unless I thread lock them, then they are stuck at 3/8".
Would anyone know of such a beast, I only need a couple but I'd happily take half a dozen if I could get them?
