M 81 and M 82 in URSA MAIOR

Hallo south guys!
Before 3 days I took picture of galaxies M 81 and M 82 with my Skywatcher ED 80/600 and camera Canon EOS 350 D unmodified. I took picture in Krušné mountains cca 900 meter up sea.

exposure: 12 x 5 min, ISO: 800
processed: Subraw, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 CE
manualy guided with refractor 70/500

I thank you very much to Libor Richter for processing my photo.

A very nicely captured and composed image. The detail and structure has shown up very well in the galaxy on the lower right. Do you know the name of the fainter galaxy to the left in your image.

Hi there, now that is a great effort, I just love images like that from some of our most distant Galaxies.
I have noticed that your stars are a bit square, as were mine.

Just recently it was suggested that two of my images i posted in deep sky forums had square stars, and on closer inspection, that was true.

Although the full res images are fine, I wonder dose this happen when we reduce the size to fit the required 150kb's for posting.

Other than that, a very good effort with the 80mm.
