I said to the wife today "what would you say if I told you that I wanted to build a 30inch telescope?" She turned around and looked at me and said.

Does that mean "Go ahead and build it, I just don't want to hear about it" or "Stop talking and go build the thing"? LOL

It couldn't possibly mean "I am sick & tired of hearing about telescopes!!!" Not our wives! They wouldn't say that.

Ken I think it was shutup as in....."you told me the 18inch was going to be the last scope!"

I throught I would throw in the question to see what her reaction would be and maybe to soften her up for a 25" one day.

I can hear the conversation now . . .

Ed: You know that Idea I had of building the 30" telescope.

Mrs: Oh, here we go again. Yeah, what about it!!

Ed: It would be a silly and impractical idea.

Mrs: WHAT!!!

Ed: You were right again dear, it is too big.

Mrs: Your darn tooting it's too big. You don't need it!

Ed: What was I thinking? 25" is plenty. Glad you woke me up to it in time before I went totally silly and built a 30" scope. What a mistake that would have been. I love you darling, you do know how to help me not make mistakes. I will only go to 25" then.
