Mount John Observatory in N.Z

One of many places i had to check out while on our trip around the south island of New Zealand. I could only imagine what it would be like viewing the night sky from here but i am sure it would be as breath taking as the views were during the day from this location over looking Lake Tekapo.

yes its absolutely spectacular and I too can only imagine how it would be at night as I visited there during the day last year

having said that I thought the road up to the observatory VERY hairy and glad I didnt attempt it at night with parking nights

also I thought they wanted a ridiculous amount to do -a day time -tour of the observatory

but what a spectacular location..just loved this part of the South Island
