NGC253 Seestar

I gave myself one of the ZWO Seestar 50 for Christmas. Took a few months to arrive but have been doing a few images from my back yard in Maitland.
This is the Sculptor Galaxy NGC253 which I have done no processing. My old laptop won't run Pixinsight so a new computer is on the shopping list.
20 minutes of 10 second exposures enhanced and stacked while imaging on the App so this is raw material.

It feels great to be imaging again after quite a few years away from the hobby and so much catching up to do but this little rig is so simple. Made a Bahtinov mask on my little 3d printer and focus was really good.

How good is that! No processing and just like that a galaxy!

Yes easy as. I will eventually get the g11 out again but I think this is a great way to get people into the hobby at a low price point.

That's a nice image Frank - I'll look forward to seeing more images in the new year. Cheers, John W.

Good to see an S50 post, nice and natural too! Been following this product since launch, a great gateway into Astro. Waiting for an s80 or so before I might jump for one. And yeah, some crazy good images coming out after all the usual new processes have been applied.
