I have just taken delivery of what I hope will be my "keeper" scope - one of the newly released ZWO APOs. This one is a FF107 APO. It's native FL is 749 (f7) but with the ZWO 0.7x reducer, should settle at f4.9. I've also gone hog wild and mounted my little SharpStar 61EDPH triplet as a guide scope at f5.5 and a FL of 335mm.
I'm tossing up which mount to use. I think I will settle on my EQ6R-S pro ( the belt-mod one) because I just don't feel comfortable putting the combined weight on my AM5. At zenith, that 's a lot of weight hanging out there - even with a counterweight, those ZWO CF tripods are very light.
Of course weather has turned rotten and so I probably won't get to use it properly for weeks if not months. Still, it's great to look at.
