NGC 456 in the SMC (Inagalaxia Faraway)

Sits away from the core of the SMC and is incredibly faint.

HaHOORGB combo

Ha ~ 25hrs
Oiii ~ 14hrs
RGB ~ 1hr

Managed to get the eq6 to pull around half the Ha as 15 min subs to help with the fainter stuff - thanks to two nights of near perfect seeing, and hitting the balance and guide settings lottery at the same time. Not only did it do it, I got lower average FWHM than the 10 min subs. Goes to show how big an impact seeing has on your guiding!

Very faint indeed and an object well worth visiting Adam. Good to see some colourful narrowband work around the Magellanic Clouds I'm impressed with how it fills the field of view with the 120mm refractor. Thanks for sharing

Wow that’s some incredible detail for such a faint object. Nice framing too. Stunning shot!

Thanks Rodney! Intensities on the nb chans before integ was something I played with processing this one and very happy with the varying gradients in the colours I got from a HOO blend.

Full disclosure, this is a 3/4 crop of the full frame Thankfully the 2600 with 840mm gives me a pixel scale that with the outstanding work the eq6 has been doing means I'm not having to pay much of a resolution price for cropping the odd image

Thank you Dave! A very faint target indeed and I'll be rethinking going after more outlier nebulas in the SMC before I finally spring for a big fast newt Thanks again!
