Fornax A - 13 hours

NGC 1316 (also known as Fornax A) is a lenticular galaxy about 60 million light years away, and the fourth brightest radio source in the sky. The central supermassive black hole is an estimated 130-150 million solar masses.

I have tried to keep the processing "natural" without excessive sharpening or colour saturation enhancement - "respecting the light" as it were. Collimation (or maybe sensor tilt?) could probably do with a further minor tweak if i'm being very critical (I have printed a tri-bahtinov mask to trial at a later date), but otherwise I am happy with the detail captured.

Skywatcher 200PDS, QHY294C Pro with Optolong UV-IR, NEQ6, OAG, 187 x 5 min. NINA, PI. Captured from Strathalbyn SA (approx Bortle 4?). I have uploaded here the full field of view, as well as a crop at full 100% resolution for pixel peeping.

Lovely image! I really love the subtle detail and some interesting background fuzzies as well. Well done
