Hello guys, I got this from Italy:
Quote:
The Italian astronomy magazine Coelum (www.coelum.com), of which I am the assistant editor, together with the Planetary Research Team (with seat at the astronomical observatory of San Giovanni Persiceto,
Bologna, Italy) has promoted a research programme on the asteroid Vesta
during the current opposition, joined by many Italian astronomy
amateurs.
Please find enclosed the last issue of the team circular,
unfortunately available only in Italian. One of the aims of the project
is to obtain the measurement of Vesta parallax and, to do so, it would
be necessary to have also astrometric observations far from Italy. For
this reason I decided to contact the astronomical associations working
in the southern hemisphere and ask for cooperation: would you be
available to carry out observations simultaneously with observations
conducted in Italy in the days mentioned below?
In case you are, please
find here below the programme and research methods (also including
Vesta photometry).
Thank you for your kind attention,
Rodolfo Calanca

I have enclosed one of the documents he mentioned (the other one is too large).
Maybe some of you would be interested in assisting with their project?
