Venus at 0.9%

Results of an extended lunch break at the observatory today. The building's shadow, a 10" dob, a 10mm eyepiece and an ASI178 were combined to record our closest-to-conjunction observation for the current apparition, some 23h after closest separation and still under 8°. Image is the full bandwidth of the 178MM with no glass in the light path. Hand tracked, 2.4k/12k frames. Rotated to approximate actual orientation.

Great result, Mirko. Simple, low tech solutions are often the best.
