M31 Andromeda

Very low in the north, this has always tantalised me but I never bothered to image it because it was always at or below the limit of useful images. But I had a "what the hell" moment and a dose of insomnia so even though it barely touched 15 degrees at best, I grabbed 2 hours worth of 5 minute subs with a litte SharpStar 61EDPH, an Optolong L-Enhance filter and an ASI071MC Pro.

The result is not stunning and pretty noisy but for me, it's a first.

Thanks for sharing Peter.

It's on my to do list and even lower on
my horizon than yours.

Great result.

Gives me hope !

Paul.

Great shot Peter! Nice detail and even some colour so low on the horizon is a great result. It’s on my list as well but need to get out of the city to have any chance at all!
