Lagon more data

Now about 10 hours from ASKAR..and had four channels rather than three as before..I stuffed things up with framing and exposure time so no flats and heavily cropped. The sky was so purple even I could see it but I played around and ended up with this.
Processed in Startools I did not use HDR at all so the detail is real ..played around in Photoshop to better manage the colour..no flats makes it much harder in my view with colour for some reason...alex

Alex.

Thanks for sharing.

I love it.

I'm not going into complexities about the image.

Just going to enjoy it.

Thanks again.

Please keep them coming !!

Paul.

Excellent result
Detail in the core region is exemplary
ST HDR has its place but not in large bright structures
Well done !!

Best always

Thanks Paul and thanks Martin. Please note ..my original statement that this was from RASA was wrong this was the ASKAR130
It is so hard to get everything right...and this one my stuff ups were so simple not to fall for...framing, I trust Asiair too much is my problem and dont check with earlier photos..it is real good but one must check..hopefully I have learnt..and getting exposure time different..just because I did stuff in between..anyways getting there.

Thanks again.

Excellent Alex, all the details are tight. One less fun trick to always getting cal data is to do it first. When it's 2nd nature you can do it whenever suits you, and have a dark library of course.

This is another one of your best. That extra data has smoothed it out and improved the colour dynamics, very nice Alex!

That’s a wonderful image, Alex, and one of the few that I’ve seen (says the utter newbie ) where the core isn’t blown in some way - awesome HDR processing to bring out the bold and subtle detail and lovely colour. For the flats, darks and dark flats I recommend keeping an extensive library (if you don’t already have one). I made one for all camera and filter combinations and used the practical exposure combinations I expected to use - I don’t deviate from these combos. TBH, it’s <naughty word> painful to setup but once done, it’s proved easy to maintain. Alex
