Lagntrif M8 M20

Finally brought the RASA back on line..this is a little under 2 hours with ZWO 2600 OSC...60 SEC SUBS, no calibration frames..dithered each sub and stacked in Deep Sky Stacker with 3x drizzle...which allows massive binning..I was going to do a comparison drizzled or not but not today.

Nice one Alex. I love how much detail you’ve revealed in the heart of m8

Glad to see you making the RASA behave, really well done Alex. I hope this means much more RASA data in the future.

That turned out well Alex, you managed to get both in the frame. Maybe a focal reducer to avoid the squeeze or a two panel mosaic? Detail is great, well done.

Thanks to everyone.

I cropped the original image so both objects would just fit in

Alex! That’s a fantastic image and I love the contrast between the immense, beautifully captured star fields, and the rich colours of the Lagoon and the Trifid. The colours are excellent - don’t you love it when a canny cunning plan comes together
