M16 SHO (Foraxx)

Added some more OIII and a small amount of SII (not enough really) to the previous M16 image to create a SHO (Foraxx script) image of M16. Taken from my backyard in Moorooka QLD with a Skywatcher 8" f4 Newtonian telescope, a ZWO ASI2600MM-Pro cooled monochrome camera, Astronomik 6nm filters and processed in PixInsight. Astrobin for the bigger picture: https://www.astrobin.com/full/lf4g8l/0/?mod=&real=

Lovely detail. Really excellent and yes the foraxx pallet has really helped to bring more clarity too. I’m a fan of this foraxx script in PI for narrowband processing, although sometimes I’ve found myself toning down the fluorescent output to taste.

Cheers. I’m happy with the detail but not so much the colour yet. A bit more experimenting needed perhaps but came up with a different mix (without the Foraxx PI script) that seems to have a bit more complexity. Still like the idea of Foraxx as a good starting point though :-)
