IC4406 a small but curious PN through the 9mm Nagler visually at 280 x mag shows a distinct box shape. So why not attempt to image it ? Taken at "Zamar's' native FL of 2524mm . 1028 Subs x 4s 350GAIN ZWO asi071mc. I probably push the colour to make it POP so will beg forgiveness . Original data from the 7th Aug 2021. How can a round star make a square nebula? This conundrum comes to light when studying planetary nebulae like IC 4406. Evidence indicates that IC 4406 is likely a hollow cylinder, with its square appearance the result of our vantage point in viewing the cylinder from the side. Were IC 4406 viewed from the top, it would likely look similar to the Ring Nebula. This representative-color picture is a composite made by combining images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2001 and 2002. Hot gas flows out the ends of the cylinder, while filaments of dark dust and molecular gas lace the bounding walls. The star primarily responsible for this interstellar sculpture can be found in the planetary nebula's center. In a few million years, the only thing left visible in IC 4406 will be a fading white dwarf star

Thanks Dave !At 1.7 x0.6 arcmin it is doable visually in larger scopes.( Not the "unknown" status of alot of sub acr min PN's that appear stella and by only flashing them with an O3 filter... Since going down the refractor route for imaging I had forgotten how much fun I'd been having with the find, observe and capture routine !
