My Eagle Has Landed

Something a little different for a HOO image. A combination of 29 x 10m Ha & 17 x 10m OIII, rather than just using the OIII in the green & blue channels, I synthesised the green channel with a combination of the Ha & OIII. The subs were captured over a couple of nights a few weeks apart but the second night I forgot to rotate the camera so had to crop right in to get a useable result.

Cheers,
Mark

Really nice Mark, soft and subtle. You've caught the Star Queen sleeping. Well done.

Great result..never worry about cropping if you are left with something so beautiful.

Lovely image - somehow both dark and moody yet light and airy at the same time. Very well done, sir!

Post away - we're all forever learning here & it's good to look back later to see where we once were.

Thanks Steve.

Mark

Mark, this is a really nice image. Personally, I love a moody Eagle nebula. Nice framing, star reduction, and dynamic range. I reckon you could push the oxygen saturation a tad in the brightest region to give a bit of blue, but hey, colours are subjective. Hope you don’t mind me attaching an example below.

Great effort. Keep those images coming.

Nice work - I actually really like that moody colour pallet, but yes I agree with Stephane you can push that blue just a bit to give it some pop. Great stuff!

Thanks Stephane. Didn't know HOW to get the O3 out more, so I've been busy learning. This version has probably gone too far with the colours but all part of getting the process right.
