21st may Sunspots

21st May - A cold, cloudy day but I managed to capture a image of the Sun as a patch of blue sky passed it early afternoon. There are some nice sunspots on the eastern side of the Sun, the largest AR 3310 I measured at 45,000 km across. I have also posted an image taken on 17th May as a comparison (when things were quieter). Both images are single exposures with a WO 81 mm refractor, herschel wedge and Canon 550d. Thanks for viewing.

Really nice images John,

Identification of the sunspot numbers is a bonus.

cheers Phil
